Another Vintage Guitar, Gibson Acoustic J-35 Circ. 1941
Written by admin on October 28, 2008 – 4:33 pm -Our highlighted Vintage Guitar sale of the week is another classic Gibson vintage guitar. This time it is a six string oldie dating back to 1941. This model also known as Jumbo 35/J-35. The owner stated the guitar was in nice condition. A new Brazillian rosewood bridge was built to period specs to replace a non -orginal bridge, several repairs have been made over the years, one being repair of hole is the side for electronics whaich had been removed. The Guitar sold on eBay October 20, 2008 for $8,000.00

I’m new at this, where should I look for a Vintage Guitar?

First do some scouting around and pick up as much information as you can before making a decision. Most major cities have several music stores, and the employees that work in these stores are a gold mine of information if you just ask them. Find out where they suggest you go locally to find that classic guitar. Check out the local flea markets, and ask that guitar player in the band you like to listen to. A great source at good prices are eBay auctions. Check these auctions frequently and you'll be surprised at what you learn and the bargain you may come across

Guitars are Big!!

Searching You Tube there are numereous videos highlighting some great vintage guitars from all over the world. In the future we will add some of these to the site so you can find bargains and information all in one place.
