Rare 1965 Fender Jazzmaster Custom Color

Written by admin on November 3, 2008 – 4:08 pm -

The sale being highlighted this week is a 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in shell pink.  The color theme is matching pink headstock and orignal white pickguard.  Owner reported the rosewood fingerboard was in excellant condition with only slight fret wear.  The pickups were 100% original and no solder joints have been broken.  The guitar had the rare original 1965 spaghetti logo one of the few applied after the transition logo became standard in 1964.  The guitar has the rare hard to find combination of an unbound neck with pearl dot inlays used briefly in 1964/65 which add to the desirablity of this rare guitar gem.  This beauty didn't rest in a closet but has been played all its life according to the owner.  This piece of guitar history sold on an eBay auction for $7,000 on October 27, 2008.
