On February 27, 2011 a vintage 1965 Fender described as in "incredible" condition sold on at eBay auction for $19,450. This vintage Fender F series model was made in 1965 and carried serial number 107570. This guitar was in pristine condition and had been purchased some 40 years ago by an aspiring guitar player who ultimately ended up playing bass and didn't ever really give this vintage masterpiece a workout as he had dreamed.
